The Birdysweater is knitted seamlessly top down and worn oversized. The wrap look at the front combined with the playful all-over lace pattern make it a very special piece in your wardrobe that can still be combined in a variety of ways. The sleeves are also generously shaped, but become narrower towards the hem. Its slightly cropped length makes it a wonderful substitute for a jacket over a summer dress, or you can combine it with high-waist jeans to achieve a very classy style. Additional flexibility is provided by the different hem options; the Birdysweater can be worked as a pullover or as a cardigan to tie up.

Tip: The pattern of the Birdyvest is included in the pattern of the Birdysweater! So, this pattern offers the opportunity to knit 4 similar but different styles in total.

Size guide

The sweater should be knitted with a positive ease of approx. 10 - 20 cm, depending on how oversized you like it. The size is determined by the bust circumference, which is approximately 70 (76 - 86) 92 - 102 (108 - 118) 124 - 134 (140 - 150) cm.

If the sweater is to be worked as a tie-up cardigan, a smaller size should be chosen with a positive ease of approx. 0 - 10 cm.

Tip: Due to the lace pattern, the sweater tends to grow. Therefore, if in doubt, choose the smaller size.

Yarn

Throughout the pattern the Birdysweater is knitted with two threads held together.
